MartinezSa highlights importance of tier-two trophies for Heroic

Antonio " MartinezSa " Martinez believes tournaments such as Stake Pulse Beat II are an important part of Heroic 's path back toward Counter-Strike's top level after the team secured its second trophy with the current roster.

Heroic defeated 100 Thieves 2:1 in the Stockholm grand final, following up their Stake Ranked Episode 3 victory from July.

The Spanish AWPer acknowledged that the team had struggled in several important closed qualifiers since assembling its new lineup, making the latest tournament victory especially valuable.

Heroic faced elimination on Ancient after 100 Thieves recovered from a deficit and reached championship point.

MartinezSa said the team had gone quiet as the map began slipping away, but a timeout helped Heroic reset before they forced overtime and eventually won the map 19:17.

That comeback sent the series to Inferno, where Heroic dominated 13:4 to secure the title.

MartinezSa highlighted the team's ability to recover from difficult situations as an important positive from the tournament.

Tier-two events offer route back to the top

Heroic 's recent schedule has included a mixture of lan events and closed qualifiers as the team attempts to improve its ranking and secure places at bigger tournaments.

MartinezSa stressed that while events such as Stake Pulse Beat II are not tier-one competitions, performing well in them remains an important step toward returning to that level.

The Stockholm title also strengthened Heroic 's position in the race to qualify for PGL Major Singapore as the roster prepares for another busy run of tournaments and qualifiers.
