FOKUS bench kuben after seven months as head coach

FOKUS have moved head coach Jakub "kuben" Gurczyński to the bench after seven months in charge.

The organization said it had decided to "move forward with a new direction for the team."

kuben joined FOKUS in February when the German organization entered Counter-Strike with a newly built international lineup led by Erik "ztr" Gustafsson.

Mixed results follow summer changes

FOKUS currently sit around the middle of the global Valve Regional Standings after an inconsistent run of results.

The team finished 9th–16th at BLAST Bounty, 17th–32nd in the Esports World Cup open qualifier, and 9th–12th at Stake Pulse Beat II.

The roster also underwent changes during the summer, with Georgi "Jorko" Mitev and Sebastian "volt" Maloș departing before Paavo "podi" Heiskanen and Jacob "jocab" Nerheden joined.
