YEKINDAR says FURIA Esports must rebuild chemistry amid difficult 2026 season

Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis believes every member of FURIA Esports must take individual responsibility as the team attempts to recover from a difficult 2026 campaign.

FURIA Esports entered the year after a strong finish to 2025 but have struggled to maintain that level.

The team has yet to win a trophy in 2026 despite reaching several deep playoff runs, including Grand Finals at IEM Krakow and the IEM Cologne Major.

YEKINDAR said FURIA Esports are focused less on the pressure to immediately win a tournament and more on identifying and correcting individual problems.

FalleN retirement adds another challenge

The team is also preparing for the eventual retirement of Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo.

YEKINDAR believes the uncertainty should not become an excuse for declining performances.

"It's everyone's individual responsibility to be the best version of themselves," he told HLTV.

FURIA Esports are currently working to rebuild the chemistry that helped them become one of the strongest teams in the world during late 2025.

The Latvian rifler said the demanding tournament schedule has made that process more difficult, but believes gradual improvements will be more important than focusing purely on the lack of trophies.
