Perfect World confirms Shanghai as host of second 2027 CS2 Major

Perfect World has confirmed that Shanghai will host the second Counter-Strike 2 Major of 2027.

The announcement confirms an earlier HLTV report linking Shanghai with the second Major slot of the year.

The event will mark Perfect World's second time hosting a Counter-Strike Major after the 2024 Shanghai Major.

Major scheduled for late 2027

The Perfect World Shanghai Major is expected to run from November 22 to December 12 across four stages, barring further changes to the Major format.

The event is also expected to feature a $1.25 million prize pool.

Shanghai follows Buenos Aires on the 2027 Major calendar, with FiReSPORTS set to organize the first Major of the year in Argentina.

HLTV previously reported that BLAST and ESL have secured the two Major hosting slots for 2028.
