Mouz sweep Vitality 2-0 to set up Spirit rematch in BLAST Porto final
Mouz secured a place in the BLAST Open Porto grand final after sweeping Vitality 2:0, finally breaking a prolonged run of poor results against apEX 's team.
The victory ended a disastrous head-to-head stretch in which Mouz had won only two of their previous 14 meetings with Vitality .
Mouz opened Dust2 with a 4:0 advantage, handling Vitality 's aggressive early approach without being caught off guard.
Vitality briefly recovered through entries from flameZ and apEX , but Mouz 's defensive setup repeatedly shut them down afterward.
xelex and Spinx were particularly influential as Mouz built an 8:4 halftime lead.
Vitality recover, then lose control of B
The map changed dramatically after the side switch.
ZywOo came alive after a quiet first half and combined with flameZ to punish several Catwalk attacks.
Vitality surged ahead 10:8 and appeared to have taken control.
Mouz identified the weakness.
Repeated B-site attacks began breaking apart the ropz -jL defense and brought the score level.
apEX temporarily stopped the bleeding with a quad-kill, but Mouz immediately returned to the same target and continued finding success.
Dust2 ended 13:11 in Mouz 's favor.
Aggression breaks Vitality on Mirage
Vitality started Mirage with four early rounds behind strong performances from ZywOo and ropz .
Mouz refused to slow down.
Back-to-back smoke pushes swung the momentum, while xertioN repeatedly found gaps in Vitality 's defense and helped turn the half into a 7:5 Mouz lead.
Vitality 's problems became even worse after halftime.
They failed to convert a favorable 4v2 against pistols and later wasted a four-kill round from ZywOo by immediately losing to a severely weakened Mouz buy.
Spinx 's triple kill with one of only two rifles shut down another B attack and effectively ended Vitality 's hopes of extending the series.
Mouz closed Mirage 13:7.
Spinx leads the sweep
Spinx produced the strongest series performance with 40 kills, 97.0 ADR and a 1.61 rating.
xelex followed with 39 kills, 93.5 ADR and a 1.42 rating.
ZywOo remained Vitality 's best player despite the loss, finishing with 41 kills and a 1.30 rating.
The victory sent Mouz into their second grand final of the season.
Their opponent would once again be Spirit , the team they defeated 3:1 to win BLAST Bounty Season 2 just over a month earlier.
