TyLoo qualify for IEM Beijing after FlyQuest forfeit grand final over connection issue

TyLoo have qualified for IEM Beijing 2026 after FlyQuest were forced to forfeit the Asia Closed Qualifier grand final because of severe network problems between Australia and Singapore.

The unusual conclusion handed TyLoo the tournament berth without the deciding series being played.

FlyQuest unable to play final

FlyQuest explained that physical damage affecting the connection between Australia and Singapore had pushed their latency above 200ms.

The venue had access to multiple backup internet providers, but all traffic between Australia and Asia was affected by the same infrastructure problem.

That left the team unable to compete under playable conditions.

A reschedule was also impossible because TyLoo were due to travel for FISSURE Playground 3 immediately afterward.

As a result, FlyQuest withdrew from the final.

Second forfeit benefits TyLoo

Remarkably, this was not the first series TyLoo advanced through without playing during the qualifier.

Rare Atom had previously withdrawn from the upper-bracket final because of a scheduling conflict with the FISSURE Playground 3 qualifier.

That sent TyLoo directly into the grand final.

FlyQuest then reached the deciding match through the opposite side of the bracket before the connection issue forced another forfeit.

TyLoo therefore secured qualification after receiving two walkovers during the latter stages of the event.

The result confirms TyLoo 's place at IEM Beijing 2026.

FlyQuest miss out despite reaching the grand final, with circumstances outside the server ultimately deciding the qualification spot.
