3DMAX players and coaches confirm long-running salary problems
Several current and former members of 3DMAX have publicly confirmed serious payment problems within the organization following reports that the French club owes players, staff, and other parties more than €1.5 million.
Bryan "Maka" Canda, former coach Pierre "YouKnow" Marco, and current coach Damien "wasiNk" Dufour each addressed the situation, describing the financial uncertainty as a long-running issue that also affected the team's performance.
Maka describes months of pressure
Maka said the roster had continued competing despite an increasingly difficult situation behind the scenes.
The captain explained that the pressure surrounding the team went far beyond normal competitive stress, with months of uncertainty taking a significant mental toll on everyone involved.
Despite those conditions, he said the players remained fully committed and continued fighting to perform.
Maka has now called for potential partners to support the roster so it can continue attending LAN events and pursue qualification for the next Major.
YouKnow says salary delays were never resolved
Former coach YouKnow confirmed that he received payments during his time with 3DMAX , but said they consistently arrived late.
According to him, each payment merely covered a salary that was already overdue rather than bringing the organization fully up to date.
As a result, the delay continued throughout his time as head coach.
YouKnow said the situation effectively left him several months behind on salary when his tenure ended.
wasiNk says financial pressure affected matches
Current coach wasiNk also acknowledged that the payment problems had an impact on the competitive side of the team.
He explained that players entered high-pressure situations knowing poor results could further threaten their ability to receive money and pay their own debts.
According to wasiNk, that additional pressure helps explain some of the team's collapses in important matches.
The statements leave the future of the current 3DMAX project uncertain as the roster looks for enough support to continue competing at major LAN events.e
