Vitality , Mouz , The MongolZ , magic, Astralis , and Legacy claim the final EWC 2026 playoff spots

The final six matches of the EWC 2026 group stage were played on August 16. Vitality , Mouz , The MongolZ , magic, Astralis , and Legacy earned victories and qualified for the playoffs, while the losing teams were eliminated from the tournament.

Group B

The final two Group B matches featured Legacy against MIBR and Astralis against Ninjas in Pyjamas . Legacy won its series 2:0, while Astralis secured a 2:1 victory, earning both teams places in the playoffs. 

Group C

The Group C matches ended without much suspense, as both favorites secured convincing 2:0 victories. Mouz and Vitality joined FUT and B8 as the four Group C representatives in the playoffs. PARIVISION and Lynn Vision were eliminated in 17th–24th place, earning $20,000 in prize money each. 

Group D

The MongolZ and magic claimed the final two playoff spots from Group D. The MongolZ defeated pain 2:0, while magic delivered an upset against 9z , the fourth-ranked team in the VRS standings, with a 2:1 victory.

The Counter-Strike 2 tournament at Esports World Cup 2026 runs from August 12 to 23. Thirty-two teams are competing for a total prize pool of $2 million.
